My wife and I grew up in very different places. I was born in Nebraska, raised in South Dakota, and have only recently moved away from my hometown to work for a subsidiary FedEx airline.

My wife Hannah was born in Indiana, but then her family moved to Mexico as missionaries. She has grown up there ever since—learning three languages, the culture, and the people. She looks forward to going back, as do I, and people there still ask about us.

Priscilla was born in March of 2025, and she has brought us much joy. It is our hope that she grows up learning English, Spanish, and Tarahumara at the same time. Maybe when she’s older she can help me with my Spanish and Tarahumara poetry project.
