5:46am
Emergency C-section is about to begin. Please pray.
7:21am
Very tiny girl born around 6:30 this morning via C-section. Praying of course that she survives and remains healthy. Next couple of days will determine a lot of that.
I am still unaware what type of C-section it was, but praying that they were able to do it in such a way that we can continue to have natural births in the future.
In all this, we rest in God’s mercy and trust in His sovereign plan.
8:27am
Hannah’s out of surgery and I’m about to head up to see baby. Hannah’s doing well.
Ah, and we have a name! Ruth Irene.
10:28am
Hannah’s recovering well. Baby is in a “honeymoon phase” for day one, critical phase will be the next couple following days.
2:43pm
Prayer request: we need Ruth to poop so we can verify that her rectum is actually a hole. Until we know, we can’t feed her Hannah’s breast milk.
Ruth’s skin was so delicate a careless touch could tear it.
6:31pm
Momma finally got to see baby.
10:23pm
So far everything’s pretty stable. Hannah’s getting more mobile, Ruth is the same. Praying for that to continue, as the next week will likely be a gradual downhill before she starts perking up again. I’m headed to bed.
