So much better to be out of the hospital.
Ruth is stable and doing well! Still on the blood pressure meds, and she has lost one ounce since birth. But that’s pretty reasonable. She had a blood transfusion again today. Blood tests are good, and despite having her ventilator cranked up earlier the night doc thinks her ribs are looking good (not stretched and overinflated). So we’re encouraged by that! Still taking every minute as it comes, but she could easily be doing a lot worse. She’s got a small wound on her belly due to overall tender skin but that has begun to clot and dry since I got here. They have skipped feeding her today due to getting her stabilized from yesterday and juggling medications. Overall I’d say she’s doing pretty well.
