Same as ever, Ruth is dealing with a lot of things and is therefore very sick, but doing well considering the circumstances. Stomach has remained the same size, but the rest of her body has continued to swell and retain fluid. She hasn’t needed fentanyl today, but she is very sensitive.

She had two ultrasounds and an Xray today. The ultrasounds will tell us the ongoing state of her brain and her stomach. The Xray looked at a couple things, but the more concerning finding was that her bones are getting fainter—meaning they are getting more fragile. She is definitely at risk of a fracture at this point.

In the background, doctors are talking with each other to facilitate the transfer to a hospital in Houston for her heart surgery. We are still praying that she won’t need surgery, but God will care for her regardless. Once she is stable enough to move (and once we get verification that the surgeon is willing to work on her given her other issues) we aim to have everything ready to follow her to Houston (or Dallas, depending).

Thank you for your prayers!
