Ruth is off the blood pressure meds! And doing well so far. Her supplemental oxygen is also much lower, leading me to think her lungs are performing better.
Ruth remains stable. She goes back and forth with the blood pressure meds, but we aren’t chasing her with them anymore. We got to talk with a residence doctor today who gave us the game plan from the head doctor. They’ve found a possible fungal and staff presence in her blood and IV lines, so they’re going to confirm that at some point soon and reevaluate her meds. She’s currently on a bunch of preemptive antibiotics, so we’re not hugely concerned given her numbers are doing well. We might be looking at false positives, so they’re going to confirm before we do anything.
Please pray that we can reduce the amount of meds she’s on so we can start feeding her again. I think she’s growing, so that’s encouraging.
