Ruth had a good morning. She's getting weighed every morning now (I presume to stay on top of her bloating/swelling/water retention). She is now 601 grams. Her nurse today has 5 years NICU experience and like Ana, she tries to get us involved with handling Ruth whenever possible. I got to pick her up and lift her all by myself today while she was getting weighed. She's set to have a big afternoon--they're going to swap out her incubator. This will be a substantial process, with 5-6 IV lines and 4-5 sensors in one side and 4 respirator lines going in the other side. Based on how well she did with being handled this morning, we are on track for the changeover this afternoon. Keep her in your prayers as this is going to stress her somewhat. Glad to have an experienced nurse today.
